One of Anchorage’s most expensive properties went up for sale last week. Priced on Zillow for $1,350,000, this includes plenty of space, boasting 6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, and 5,254 of living space. Originally built in 1977, it also comes on a 2.24 acre plot with stunning access to wildlife and privacy all year round.
Despite its many positives, perahps one issue with this house its its look. As seen, its exteriors look similar to a giant warehouse which isn’t for everyone. In fact, you could even argue that it’s one of the ugliest houses in Anchorage. Especially when looking at those costing over $1 million.
Although this house was built in the 1970s, it has benefitted from a recent modernization inside. This includes new flooring and other features. Because of this, you could be mistaken for believing it was fairly new.
Somewhat ironically, the house also comes with a cozy outhouse. From the outside, this looks far nicer than the main property and features a rustic look on the inside. This could also be used as a rental if so desired. Overall, this makes it one of the stranger properties in the city. This is because it is a mish-mash of various styles and is certainly a desired taste. Because of this, it could be some time until this one sells.
